No. CertiSetu is an independent private platform, not affiliated with the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Your certificate is issued by the Tehsil through the official e-District system — we check your documents, file the application, follow it up and deliver the result.

Domicile, Income, Caste and EWS certificates for Uttar Pradesh. Character and Birth certificates are planned — see the roadmap.

No. You fill the form, upload your documents and pay, all online. From there our field agent handles the whole process with the Tehsil, and once the certificate is issued it is couriered to your home.

Domicile, Income and Caste are ₹423 each; EWS is ₹1,999. GST is shown before you pay and nothing is added later — the government's e-District charge is included. You pay before we file; there is nothing to pay at the Tehsil or on delivery. Guidance on which certificate you need is free.

There is no fixed time. The department sets the pace, not us, and it varies by certificate and by Tehsil. You see every stage on your application page, get a WhatsApp message when it changes, and we notify you as soon as your certificate is ready.

If we couldn't file for a reason on our side, or you cancel before we file, the fee comes back in full. If the department rejects it on eligibility, or because a declared detail turned out to be wrong, the fee isn't refundable — but we tell you exactly why and what you'd need to apply again.

Not your documents, not yet. DigiLocker is used to fetch your details (name, date of birth, gender and address) from your Aadhaar record and fill them into the form for you, so there is less to type and nothing is mistyped. Your documents are still uploaded as photos or PDFs.
